  • Position Scope:

    The Compliance/Investigation Administration Officer within Njernda Family Services will be responsible for providing broad administration support in applying various elements of the Njernda Quality System, including client incident investigations, and to assist continuous improvement in service, policy, process, and program performance within the Quality System framework.

    This position will champion compliance and auditing systems / processes relating to all aspects of the Family Service sector, including monitoring and assisting with implementing recommendations on quality systems to the Family Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities


This role will support Njernda Family Services operational management systems including providing support to program managers to achieve improvements in service delivery standards based on best practice evidence-based approach.
 
Additionally, you will also be able to confidently manage multiple administrative tasks, have a resilient nature and be able to demonstrate your ability to deal with competing demands.
 
As the Compliance/Investigations Administration Officer, you will:

  • Provide broad and general administrative support directly to the Family Services Manager;
  • Support activities that actively review internal processes including policies, procedures, systems, processes, workflows and standardized documentation;
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as regular / quarterly auditing processes in line with DHHS / QIP accreditation standards;
  • Contribute with ensuring the overall governance mechanisms in place and aid in the implementation of these systems;
  • Champion the operational implementation and ongoing process of quality, continuous improvement across Family Services at Njernda;
  • Assist Njernda to meet accreditation and other objectives set out in the quality framework;
  • Maintain a high level of data integrity through accurate data entry duties; and
  • Any other reasonable administration tasks as directed by the Family Services Manager.

 

Key Selection Criteria


  • An ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people and handle challenges in a sensitive manner.
  • High level of interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate and consult with all levels of staff.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work tasks undertaken.
  • Demonstrated skills in administrative support in assisting with the creation, revision, editing and production of documents with particular regard to accuracy, quality and given instructions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance frameworks and ability to assist in conducting internal compliance audits and development of internal procedures.
  • Demonstrated resilience and self-motivation.
  • The ability to maintain records, assist with implementation of policy, and to manage time effectively & efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as part of a multi-skilled team.
  • High level of personal integrity and ethical standards.

 

Qualifications and Experience


  • Certificate IV in Business, Quality or a related field.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of quality management systems.
